Who we are

Bemah Pay (“BemahPay”, “we”) is based in Accra, Ghana. This policy explains how we handle information when you use bemahpay.com, the BemahPay web portal, and the BemahPay mobile apps for iOS and Android.

BemahPay collects payments from mobile money wallets in Ghana for individuals and businesses. Collections can be instant or scheduled. You can also pay bills such as ECG and airtime, now or on a schedule.

This website

bemahpay.com explains the company and the products. The contact form opens your own email app and addresses the message to support@bemahpay.com. This website does not store that form on a server of its own.

If you email or call us, we use your name, contact details, and message to reply and to keep a record of the support request.

Accounts

When you open an individual or business account on the web portal or the mobile app, we collect the details needed to identify you and to run the account. That can include your name, phone number, and email address. For a business, it can include organisation details and the people who manage the account.

The mobile app is for individuals. The web portal is for individuals and businesses.

Collections

To collect a payment we process the details of the debit, split, or campaign: the amount, the schedule, who is paying, and the status of the collection. Payments are collected from mobile money wallets in Ghana.

We do not ask you to enter a mobile money PIN on this website. Wallet security stays with the wallet you already use.

Cheque deposit

If you scan a cheque, we process the images and the details printed on the cheque so the value can be paid into mobile money. We use those images for the deposit and for the records we have to keep.

Bill payments

If you pay a bill such as ECG or airtime, we process the bill details, the amount, and any schedule so the payment can be made.

The mobile apps

The iOS and Android apps are for individuals. The app may use the camera when you scan a cheque, and it keeps the session that allows you to stay signed in. Camera access is used for the cheque deposit you start, not for anything else.

The apps are not yet listed on the App Store or Google Play. This policy still covers them, so the listing pages can point here.

Who we share information with

We share information with the mobile money and payment providers who have to process a collection, a cheque deposit, or a bill payment. We share it with companies that host our systems, under a duty to keep it confidential. We share it when Ghanaian law requires it.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep account and transaction records while the account is open, and for as long as financial and tax rules in Ghana require after that. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect account and payment information. No method of sending information is perfectly secure. If a breach requires notice, we will contact the people affected and the authorities the law names.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold, ask for a correction, or ask us to close an account. Email support@bemahpay.com or call +233 25 661 9388. Some records have to stay even after an account closes, where the law requires it.

Children

BemahPay is not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact support@bemahpay.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the date above.
