Bemah Pay

Terms

Last updated 21 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to bemahpay.com, the BemahPay web portal, and the BemahPay mobile apps. They are an agreement between you and Bemah Pay, Accra, Ghana.

If you use BemahPay for a business, you confirm that you can bind that business.

The service

BemahPay collects payments from mobile money wallets in Ghana for individuals and businesses. An instant collection is taken when the payer approves it. A scheduled collection is taken on the day it is due, after the payer has approved it.

The ways to collect are debits, split payments, campaigns, and cheque deposit. You can also pay bills such as ECG and airtime. Paying a bill is an instruction to pay that bill, and it is separate from a collection.

Who can use it

Individuals use the mobile app and the web portal. Businesses use the web portal. The mobile app is for individuals only.

BemahPay is for adults and for businesses. It is not offered to children. You need to be able to use a mobile money wallet and to enter an agreement.

Collections

You are responsible for the amount, the payer, and the schedule you set. A scheduled debit is taken on the day it is due, after the payer has approved it. You should only collect money you are entitled to collect.

Split payments are for individuals requesting a share from other people. Campaigns are published so contributors can pay towards them. Cheque deposit submits a cheque for processing into mobile money. The bank still clears the cheque, so it is not instant.

Bill payments

If you pay a bill through BemahPay, you are instructing us to pay that bill, now or on a schedule. That instruction is separate from any collection you make.

Your responsibilities

Keep your account access to yourself. Give us accurate information. Do not use BemahPay for fraud, for money you have no right to collect, or for anything illegal in Ghana.

Do not send a mobile money PIN through this website, by email, or by phone. Our support team will not ask for it.

Fees

Any fee is shown before you confirm a collection, a cheque deposit, or a bill payment. This website does not publish a rate card, and a fee is not added in a place you cannot see.

Availability

The iOS and Android apps are not yet listed on the App Store or Google Play. The web portal is provided separately from this marketing website. Access to an account depends on signup and any checks we have to complete.

We may suspend access if we need to investigate fraud, if a payment partner is unavailable, or if the law requires it.

Liability

To the extent the law of Ghana allows, Bemah Pay is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for fraud.

Mobile money timing, cheque clearing, and bill-payment providers can affect when money moves. We will tell you the status we have. We do not control the payer’s wallet or the bank that issued a cheque.

Ending use

You can ask us to close an account by emailing support@bemahpay.com. Scheduled collections and scheduled bill payments stop once the account is closed, except for a payment that has already been submitted. Records we must keep under Ghanaian law stay with us.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. The courts of Ghana have jurisdiction.
